Some driving test examiners have announced they are going on strike in December and January, but what does that mean for you if already have your driving test booked?

There are two options

  1. Attend your test and hope that your examiner is not in the union that is striking. If they are then you will be informed and a new test date will be allocated as soon as possible.
  2. Cancel or change your driving test date, make sure you do this with a minimum of 3 clear working days or you will lose your fee.

Last time there was industrial action the DVSA arranged new tests quickly and those who didn’t cancel or change the date didn’t have to wait as long as those who moved the test themselves. If you choose to leave your test at the original time/date then your MUST attend or it may be classed, as not attended and you will lose your fee.
