Alex Bennett from Marple passed his driving test on 9th April 2025April

Congratulations to Alex Bennett of Marple, Stockport, on passing his driving test in an automatic car on the 9th of April 2025 at Bredbury Test Centre.

What a journey you have been on! This moment has been a long time coming. A massive shout out to Simon Forrest who you started your driving journey with in the manual car. After a number of lessons Simon advised you might be better suited to learning in an automatic and I took over.

You quickly became comfortable in the automatic car and your knowledge and skills were there in abundance. You were more confident on the day and managed your nerves. This showed in your test, coming out on top!

I have enjoyed getting to know you over the time spent in the car. Good luck getting your first car and taking yourself to dodgeball and other places.

Wishing you all the best from your driving instructor Doug and the customer support team here at Geoff Capes Driving School

Dan Gardener from Langley pass his test on 27th March

Congratulations to Dan Gardner from Langley who passed his driving test at Macclesfield driving test centre on 27th March at the very FIRST attempt!

Dan, you decided to make the most of your paternity leave and learn to drive while you had the extra time. Another incentive for you was moving to Langley where public transport isn’t the best! It’s been my absolute pleasure to help you along the way and I’ve enjoyed our weekly driving lessons. You’ve given me lots of recommendations for food places and craft beer venues, all of which I’m looking forward to trying!  You’ve worked hard, and waited a long time, for this test pass, and what a way to do it! I’m so pleased for you.

All the very best for the future from your driving instructor Amanda and all the customer service team here at Geoff Capes Driving School

Leigha Seagar from Hazel Grove passed her driving test on 12th March 2025

Congratulations to Leigha Seager of Hazel Grove, Stockport, on passing her driving test in an automatic car on the 12th of March 2025 at Bredbury Test Centre with ZERO driving faults.

What a journey we have been on! Since day one we hit it off straight away, and I knew how it would go for the rest of the journey.
We had lots of learning with laughter. We even had tears, and you became a mum for the second time. We became good friends, which made it very easy for both of us to be honest and understand any wrong doings. You certainly brought the best out of my instructor skills.

You were really confident on the day and had your nerves fully under control. This showed in your test coming out on top, receiving zero driving faults. Although you thought you had failed as Barry the examiner, giving you those words, unfortunately, and continued to say you won’t see us again.

I have enjoyed getting to know you over the time spent on our driving lessons in the car and I will miss our Thursday morning lessons.

Good luck from your driving instructor Doug and all the customer support team at Geoff Capes Driving School

Caitlin Murphy from Romiley in Stockport passed her test on the 4th March

Congratulations to James Henderson of Bredbury, Stockport on passing his driving test in the manual car on the 14th February at Bredbury Test Centre on his very FIRST attempt.

You were brilliant today James. You have been thrown many challenges along the way, from your test being cancelled a few weeks ago due to snow, to today where you had to adapt to a new car on the warm up lesson before taking your test. To come back with only a few faults showcases your driving skills and proves you will be a safe and confident driver. Time to sell the motorbike and move to four wheels.

Good luck for the future from your driving instructor Simon and all the customer care team here at Geoff Capes Driving School.

Joshua Swift from Cheadle Heath in Stockport

Congratulations to Joshua Swift of Cheadle Heath, Stockport on passing his driving test in the automatic car on the 4th of February 2025 at Bredbury Test Centre.
You have smashed driving from day one, you said that your last time driving was 18 years ago when you failed your first test, this didn’t show in your driving lessons. Our first lesson was almost 6 months ago and your driving skills have been exemplary. You were always willing to learn new ways and take these in your stride to build your confidence ready to take your test.

You were really confident on the day and had any nerves fully under control, this showed on your test, coming out on top with marks the examiner giving you excellent feedback and that all-important pass.

I have enjoyed getting to know you over the time spent in the car on a Wednesday evening and hopefully will bump into you in the local!!
Good luck getting your first car and traveling to see family and friends.

Aaron Wright from Levenshulme, passed his test on the 25th January 2025

Congratulations to Aaron Wright of Levenshulme, Manchester on passing his driving test in the automatic car on the 25th of January at Bredbury Test Centre.

I can’t take full credit for this test pass and I have to share this with Simon Forrest, You started your journey with Simon in the manual car, and after some time with Simon, it was apparent that you would benefit from moving over to automatic. This is where you started to feel a little more confident as you were able to take away elements such as gears and focus on the other elements in your driving.  You were nervous on the day and leading up to test time more because you didn’t want to fail, although receiving a couple of faults you came out on top with Barry the examiner giving you that all-important pass.

I have enjoyed getting to know you over the time spent on our driving lessons and enjoyed our chats about our team MCFC.
Good luck getting your first car and that job opportunity you’re looking for.

Best wishes from your Driving Instructor Doug and all the customer support team at Geoff Capes Driving School
