Driving Test Rescue

Failed your driving test? Let’s work out what went wrong – and get you ready to go again.

A failed test can knock your confidence, especially when you felt ready. Our Driving Test Rescue lessons focus on the areas that held you back, helping you improve your driving, rebuild confidence and feel better prepared for your next test.

Let’s Get You Back on Track

You don’t need to start again.

We’ll look at your test result, talk through what happened and see how you drive now. From there, your instructor can concentrate on the areas that actually need work – rather than going over everything you already do well.

We can help with:

  • Faults highlighted on your test

  • Nerves and confidence

  • Persistent habits or recurring mistakes

  • Observation, judgement and planning

  • Manoeuvres or particular road situations

  • Preparing for your next test

So, the test didn’t go to plan.

One test doesn’t define your driving. We’ll help you work on what went wrong and move forward with confidence.

Test Rescue FAQs

I’ve failed my driving test. How many more lessons will I need?

There’s no set number. Your instructor will look at your test result, talk through what happened and assess your driving to identify the areas that need work. You may only need help with a few specific things, or a little longer to rebuild your confidence.

Can I change driving instructors after failing my test?

Yes. If you’d like a fresh approach after an unsuccessful test, we can assess your driving and help you work on the areas that are holding you back. There’s no need to start again from the beginning.

Should I book another driving test straight away?

It can be tempting, but it’s worth understanding why you didn’t pass first. Your instructor can help you decide what needs improving and whether you’re ready to book another test.

Can you help if nerves affected my driving test?

Yes. Test nerves are very common. We can help you build confidence, practise the situations you find difficult and become more comfortable driving independently under test conditions.

Do you offer Test Rescue lessons in manual and automatic cars?

Yes. We can help learners looking for both manual and automatic Test Rescue lessons, subject to instructor availability in your area.

What should I bring to my first Test Rescue lesson?

If possible, have your driving test result or feedback available. This gives your instructor a useful starting point, but they’ll also assess your driving themselves and talk to you about anything you found particularly difficult.
