Driving Lessons in Glossop

Congratulations to Poppy Newton of Glossop on passing her driving test on 19th April at Buxton Test Centre at the very FIRST attempt.

Congratulations to Sophie Eyre of Glossop who passed her driving test at the FIRST attempt on 27th December at Buxton Test Centre.

A belated Christmas present for you Sophie after our original test was cancelled due to bad weather, you can now swap those L plates on your Ford KA for P plates. See you soon for motorway driving lessons!

What was the MAIN reason for choosing Geoff Capes Driving School?
I had read so many good reviews on the website and on google

What OTHER factors were important to you when choosing your driving instructor / school?
Having a instructor to put me at ease and give me confidence and Steve did just that.

How did learning to drive compare to what you expected?
Learning to drive in my opinion was quite fun experience as it was the next step for me in gaining independence and not having to rely on others and Steve made it a blast.

How did you find your instructor’s teaching methods?
Steve’s methods were really useful as we spent a few of those early driving lessons on the basics and repetition of those so that when I came onto the main roads I was a lot more confident and it helped me in the long run with a first time pass.

Would you recommend us to others and if so WHY?
I would highly recommended Steve to any learner out there as he was so calm and nice to from the minute I stepped in the car and that gave me a lot of reassurance and confidence in me being able to pass my driving. He’s methods are also very useful as well as it resulted in me getting a pass first time.

What could we have done better to improve our customer service or enhance your learning experience with us?
Nothing everything was great

I was looking for a driving school who were local to me and able to fit me in at short notice

What OTHER factors were important to you when choosing your driving instructor / school?
It was important that they made me feel comfortable.

How did learning to drive compare to what you expected?
I found it overall to be quite enjoyable

How did you find your instructor’s teaching methods?
He did a good job of teaching me what they are actually looking for on the test and after listening to his pointers I felt more relaxed and comfortable behind the wheel.

Would you recommend us to others and if so WHY?
Friendly knowledgeable driving instructor that did everything to get me through as soon as possible.

What was the MAIN reason for choosing Geoff Capes Driving School?
Honestly, he was the only person that responded to my enquiries out of the 14 instructors I contacted. He responded to my email with a phone call and was very personable. I’m glad it worked out that he had space for me!

What OTHER factors were important to you when choosing your driving instructor / school?
Someone willing to work with my crazy schedule of nurse shifts in a hospital that are different every week. I wouldn’t have been able to do a set time slot every week.

How did learning to drive compare to what you expected?
My situation is a bit unique; I have been driving for ten years in another country but needed to pass a test here to get my UK license. Geoff worked to understand the gaps in my knowledge of UK driving and got me up to speed.

How did you find your instructor’s teaching methods?
He was clear, slow and methodical, and we always had a laugh!

Would you recommend us to others and if so WHY?
Absolutely!
